Fleet 1

I threw down some fairly simple geometry, and used DreamUV in Blender 2.93 to put some textures [in various layers] created in JSplacement onto the ships. Then I got a camera, set the lens for 150mm, brought it right back, got some environment lighting setup, and rendered from a few angles with some Depth of Field applied. Blender's Optix denoiser gave the images a very concept-art painterly look that i really really liked, it was like a little surprise every time i rendered :) hope you enjoy!

This was an excercise in using JSplacement for various textures, in layers, over a simple mesh. I'm not the best at texture maps but really enjoyed using DreamUV for the first time.

Blender's denoiser gave this angle a wonderful painterly effect, so I just ran with it. a little additive glow added in photoshop.

I moved way back and rendered through a 150mm lens with some depth of field; quite exaggerated here.

Denoiser throwing those lovely painterly slabs of colour, i'm addicted!
